WARNING! Multiple calls from this number and message says they are from Chase and to call 877-277-3507 to apply for a refinance loan. Called Chase directly and NEITHER of these numbers are legit!! The other comments that say this is legit are either mistaken or part of the scam.
Robocall pretends to originate from governmental fraud unit ("Officer something or other"). No option to replay message. Uses Canadian acronym for taxman (CRA) but call from US. Uses threatening language which I would not expect from initial contact by government. Serious stuff like this I'd expect mail.
This automated thing called my cell informing me that there were charged 4 in fact that i needed to resolve if not the cops yeap they said cops were coning to get me and put me in jail. Ok after laughing how in professional this sounded i decided to check out this number. I still dont know what charges i have but i think i will take my chance waiting for the cops to arrive. Definitely a big scam.
Called place of employment, asked for the owner by name. Said he was calling from Premier which is a merchant cash advance company. When I advised him that I had informed someone from his company yesterday to take us off the call list, he proceeded to tell me that he was calling from Premier Automotive and looking to rent uhauls from us, when I told him I was the one he would need to talk to in order to rent a uhaul he hung up. I tried to call back and get some automated mailbox. Its a scam, best thing to do is keep an air horn handy.
I never pick up when I see a number I don't recognize. Heck I rarely pick up when it's someone I do know! I googled up the number and I'm pretty certain that it's a collection agency called Cedar Financial. Are they calling just me or others are getting these as wel?
I don't answer when I see a phone number I don't know. Hell I rarely pick up when it's someone I do know! I searched for this number online and I'm pretty certain that it's a collection agency called Diversified Consultants. Someone else getting these calls apart from me?
Claimed to be Publishers Clearinghouse and that I had won $3.7 million plus $5000 a month for life plus a new car. After all sorts of conversation designed to convince me of his legitimacy, he got around to the necessity of me paying all sorts of fees and such, which of course is not allowed in a legitimate sweepstakes...
this is a reverse number database that allows you to look up numbers and let others know your experiences with that people using that number. You can report phone fraud by letting the community and public know that this is how they tried to get a hold of you. You can find out who's been trying to reach you, even if they don't leave a message, just by looking them up. Finding out if its telemarketers, surveys, charities, or even debt collectors is as simple as looking the number up in the database and seeing if others have had contact with the person on the other end of the line. Even if you just want to check out a business by using their number, you can see what other visitors in the community have heard or dealt with in the past.
