it definitely is a scam and total fraud. i did get involved and i have had nothing but problems with directv and my credit card company.the deal was so "good" that i eventually got shutdown for non-payment from directv. save yourself a big,big headache.
I received the call thinking it was my brother, turns out its a company in florida that has been around for 14 years. I signed up with them a few months back and now my debt almost half gone. They saved me over 6k in just 3 months. Not sure what the other posts are about, but did more research before I signed up and they are very real and good at what they do. Glad I answered that telemarketer call. I guess not all telemarketers are scams... by Jerry Kostoplais
Called twice today, reluctantly answered the second call. Started off with a very quick and brief intro followed by them wanting me to verify my social. Then when I denied, they asked to verify my DOB. I denied and they asked to verify my address, also declined to confirm. They wouldn't tell me what they were calling about or what the matter was other than it was in regards to a "personal matter." The call was monitored and the woman's supervisor got on the phone and tried to get me to confirm the same info. I told them to mail me what they wanted and they said they couldn't without confirming my info. I told them that apparently, it seemed as though they had enough info to contact the person they were looking for and if I was that person then we would be in touch. They hung up on me.
she keeps saying my name: hello? hello? ms. x? is someone there? ms. x?? hello? this is .... from [says it fast] company .... hello, ms x.?she leaves obscure message, probably to make people curious, try to get us to call her back. D^:
Apparently a debt collector service (First Financial Asset Management or something), but I am doubting the validity. They claimed that they were attempting to collect several thousands of dollars worth of debt. I called back and surprisingly got the same person. I requested debt validation, but he only gave me an email address and not an actual mailing address where I could send written certified mail. I did a credit report on myself and found there was $0 in my collector section, so whatever they're trying to pull is not legit. They also had a lot of personal information about me but did not have anything accurate around the cause for the debt collection, so it's very shady what they do. Automated voice message that a lawsuit against me at the Federal Courthouse for an arrest warrant. Kindly call back immediately and confirm my name and address at 469-440-0500. The number is not a working number
It's an automated message saying that there is a case against me and that they have attempted to call me numerous times and if I don't call back I will be prosecuted and put in jail. Total scam. Blocked.
got a call from this number too. was asked about my businesses. i gave very little info but shouldn't have said anything. called american express, told them of the call, asked if their company had made this call. they checked and knew nothing of this number, said that they wouldn't make this type of call. beware everyone...
this is a reverse number database that allows you to look up numbers and let others know your experiences with that people using that number. You can report phone fraud by letting the community and public know that this is how they tried to get a hold of you. You can find out who's been trying to reach you, even if they don't leave a message, just by looking them up. Finding out if its telemarketers, surveys, charities, or even debt collectors is as simple as looking the number up in the database and seeing if others have had contact with the person on the other end of the line. Even if you just want to check out a business by using their number, you can see what other visitors in the community have heard or dealt with in the past.
