Similar to 'anonymous' from 16 days ago; phoning the number gives a strange message, saying it was someone phoning me on behalf of my landlord. I answered when it rang the first time and there was a loud man's voice on the other end, whom referred to me by my first initial and my surname; as soon as I said 'yeah, that's me, who is this?', they hung up!
Anytime I answer the phone and there is a pause or ringtone, I immediately hang up. I do not pay for my phone service to have people abuse my time. If someone has a legitimate purpose in calling me, they will be on the line when I answer the phone. I'm not giving your autodialer my time.
SCAM!!!!! phone says it is from Rita Kenahan BUT it is from CARD MEMBER SERVICES. When I told him (foreign accent gentleman) this was an unsolicited call and we are on the DO NOT CALL LIST he said hold on a moment and then the line went dead.
They are leaving this number saying there is a nonpublicized Home Care Grant and you have won a large amount of money if you reply to claim it. Supposedly someone you know has gotten a large amount, arrives via carrier (Showing pic of FedEx) and is in "cash".. A friend sees your name on the list and you received a msg from her telling you to call the number to claim your money. Suspicious to me....cash?
Left a message claiming to be revenue canada, I fear how many people may consider calling back. Remind your friends and family that govt callers always leave a 1 800 number and would never leave a message other then your name and a call back number.
Telecall calling "from IRS", lady with strong Indian accent can't identify me (asks me to provide a "case number" instead, probably so that when I tell them I don't have one she has an excuse to ask for my personal data). Told her there's no case numbers and that they should identify themselves, they are the ones calling me, scammers! And she said "oh!" and hung up right away.
Don't know that it is a scam, but it is a debt collector. They didn't say anything when they called, which made me think it was a scam call. Then when I called them back, I did receive a live person and found out it was a debt collector. I told them that these numbers were recycled and that it no longer belonged to the person they were trying to reach. They said they would remove my number from their list.
Literally had this guy purchase a gift card from me. Messaged me, asking to text the number provided and the back of the gift card. This was 3 days ago. I just received a message from the seller himself saying that his account was hacked. Now I don’t know what to do for the poor guy. I no longer have the gift card or original text.
this is a reverse number database that allows you to look up numbers and let others know your experiences with that people using that number. You can report phone fraud by letting the community and public know that this is how they tried to get a hold of you. You can find out who's been trying to reach you, even if they don't leave a message, just by looking them up. Finding out if its telemarketers, surveys, charities, or even debt collectors is as simple as looking the number up in the database and seeing if others have had contact with the person on the other end of the line. Even if you just want to check out a business by using their number, you can see what other visitors in the community have heard or dealt with in the past.
